Primary Responsibilities
HDR is looking for a Senior Water Resources Engineer with a technical background in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of water resources infrastructure to join our Water Business Group team in Raleigh, NC. The Senior Water Resources Engineer will be responsible for leading projects that include planning and modeling related to watersheds, streams, lakes, and closed drainage systems. They will need to be skilled in leading a team of professionals performing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using various modeling software, using GIS to assist with parameter and model development, planning and reporting tasks, and managing project financials. The Senior Water Resources Engineer shall also be responsible for existing client management and marketing activities including project proposals and development of new clients and project opportunities.

Required Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering required
PE required
10+ years of experience related to hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
Must have excellent communication skills and thrive working in a team environment
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Must have significant experience with various hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software and GIS
Must have experience in project and client management activities
Preferred Qualifications
MS in Civil Engineering preferred
Local candidates are preferred
