AmerisourceBergen is looking for a passionate, innovative and experienced Product Design Lead to join our growing product design team and support the vision, build out and ongoing operations of the User-Centered Design Center of Competence (CoC). Under the direction of the Director, User-Centered Design CoC this role is responsible for partnering with leaders, strategic partners, and the wider organization to introduce, establish, and further the practice of user-centered design including but not limited to:
*establishing and promoting values, principles, and best practices
*introducing, maintaining, and advancing standard tools and processes that enable repeatable and scalable success
*supporting a coaching network aimed to assist teams in becoming self-sufficient in knowledge and expertise and acting as a player coach
*create a focal point in the enterprise for design, a common design language, scalable design systems and libraries
*support and participate in the community of practice that facilitates collaboration for prospective, new and seasoned UCD practitioners
A successful candidate should:
*Exhibit passion about creating innovative products and bring thought leadership and best in class product design skills to create positive user experiences and user research to guide our tribes and squads in meeting the needs of diverse stakeholders and customers
*Be an expert communicator who builds strong relationships and partnerships focusing on collaboration, building consensus and driving design through influence
*Be an analytical thinker, with a desire and ability to develop and document a deep understanding of the organization's needs and evolve the UCD practice across product and non-product landscapes
*Manage, mentor, coach, and pair with all levels of roles within the UCD job family to support their development and continuous progress
*Supports the User-Centered Design Center of Competence build out and champions the sustainability of best practices for Product Design
*Responsible for the coaching and mentorship of CoC members and other groups, and teams engaged across the enterprise
*Execute capacity planning across engagements, products, and their workstreams, ensuring skills and workloads are matched efficiently
*Ability to source roles and assess level of competence when filling roles on product teams with the involvement of the appropriate partners
*Introduce diverse approaches to achieve great product design that include design sprints, modular design, lean UX, design guilds, iterative design, and design thinking methodologies and principles in the enterprise
*Assess processes and tools in efforts to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to influence process improvement, cost savings and speed to market for the enterprise and the User-Centered Design Center of Competence
*Responsible for scaling Product Design teams while keeping designers growing and engaged
*Experience facilitating Design Thinking sessions/workshops with executive level stakeholders and subject matter experts from all levels of an enterprise organization
*Experience leading user research strategies and integrating user input with business goals and technology requirements
*Develops effective working relationships with key stakeholders e.g. Product Management, Delivery, business units
*Reports status and progress/metrics to the Director of User-Centered Design
