Summary: Fortress Nutrition, a dietary supplement manufacturer, is looking for a hands-on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor to join the team. This role will oversee production, warehousing, and maintenance to ensure an optimal balance of quality, service, and efficiency. This person should enjoy a fast-paced environment, have a positive attitude, and demonstrate servant leadership. We are looking for someone who can help us build a solid, effective production team in our growing environment.

*FOOD MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND or POWDER/BLENDING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED*
Responsibilities:
- Manage the workload of the production staff.
- Oversee the blending and packaging lines on a daily basis and report daily efficiencies to VP of Operations.
- Will make decisions regarding staffing needs for the department.
- Ensure all GMP and HACCP guidelines are being adhered to.
- Work with maintenance to help resolve mechanical issues.
- Motivate employees to achieve production goals and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Ensure OSHA practices are being adhered to.
- Resolve any employee issues that may arise within the department.
- Aid in the proper training of employees to run necessary equipment.
- Promote continuous improvement strategies.
- Project management.
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience as a lead, supervisor, or manager
- 1+ years’ experience in food manufacturing
- Ability to work on 2nd shift, training on 1st shift
- Ability to effectively supervise, lead, and motivate staff
- Strong communication skills a must
- Good attendance and dependability a must
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and walk/stand the majority of the day.
