Job Description
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time HIV Prevention Program Supervisor that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
 
Responsibilities:
Assist the HIV Director with the implementation of the HIV Prevention and Outreach activities and other department activities, including planning, implementation, and monitoring all Counseling, Testing and Referral (CTR), prevention educational service, and needle exchange programs. Provide direct supervision and facilitate the performance of Prevention and Outreach staff to achieve outcomes identified in grant agreements. Conduct annual evaluations and provide periodic feedback, support, and coaching to HIV Prevention staff. Develop and implement new outreach and prevention initiatives and strategies. Develop and maintain effective administrative procedures that are necessary to support HIV Prevention and Outreach staff activities, grant projects and internal reporting requirements. Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, reports, budgets and the identification of future grant opportunities. Ensure compliance with protocol and quality management of Needle Exchange, CTR and PrEP. Complete periodic reports and program audits. Manage and participate in community outreach to identify MSM, transgenders and other high-risk individuals for testing, counseling, and prevention services. Conduct orientation and training activities for new HIV Prevention and Outreach staff. Attend prevention conferences to assure HIV Dept is utilizing most effective, evidence-based interventions
 
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in community health or related degree and experience in community health education or associate degree with three years of relevant community health education experience.
  2. Successful experience leading and motivating teams and/or experience developing outreach and programming in community settings
  3. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups; workshop facilitation experience is a plus.
  4. Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office applications, using the Internet and database management.
  5. Knowledge of sexual health, HIV and drug use behavior helpful
  6. Successful experience working with ethnic, racial, economic and sexually diverse populations
  7. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  8. Must possess reliable transportation, a valid Wisconsin driver's license and maintain the minimum Wisconsin vehicle insurance requirements
