Job Description
Broker Support (000022I4)

To assist World Customs Brokers with all communications to outside brokers and gateway offices.

  • Communicate with outside "gateway" offices regarding clearance

  • Communicate with WC gateway brokers for the facilitation of Customs clearance

  • Communicate with client specific brokers to facilitate clearance

  • Communicate with clients regarding the status of shipments.

  • Enter and control charges with outside brokers.

  • Communicate with Domestic Customer Service the arrival of shipments to agent locations.

  • Enter thorough notes in job regarding status

  • To keep current and understand all SOP

  • Maintain and update the Client Broker list

  • Administrative duties including printing, filing, processing gateway broker bills, following up on expired permits, POA and Bonds, running department reports



Qualifications

  • Communicate professionally with clients via phone and e-mail regarding the status of their shipments

  • Pleasant personality, and professional demeanor

  • Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and other WC offices (team player)

  • Flexibility with schedule, as WC is a 24 hour operation

  • Overtime may be required
