FIS is searching for talented IT Architects for a variety of roles within our Banking Solutions Technology Development division. What you will be doing

  • Define, maintain and extend functional product architecture for FIS' suite of Financial Services applications.
  • Guide application development teams through development process.
  • Ensure development is done right the first time and understands how products relate with other products and ensure inter-dependencies are in focus.
  • Focus on disciplines of selection, operation and administration of systems and system software that make-up underlying operating environments in support of business processes.

What you bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • 3-5 years experience with Oracle, designing and managing different areas related to the spectrum of Oracle.
  • Expertise in creating, modifying and testing code, scripts and forms within said Oracle database.
  • Expertise in C#, C++, C, Java, PL/SQL and Visual Basic.
  • Experience in working with large legacy code bases.
  • Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines through, use cases, etc.
  • Five or more years working in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment (ZOS, UNIX, Windows).
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in modern software application technologies.
  • Five or more years demonstrated experience in working with relational (and/or hierarchical) databases.
  • Experience in building online transaction processing (OLTP), batch and reporting systems.
  • Experience in using Unified Modeling Language (UML) for Object Modeling.
  • Excellent people skills to build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors.
  • Resourceful and proactive information gathering and sharing skills.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., Agile, iterative and other modern approaches to software development.
  • Familiarity with Financial Services, Wealth Management or Retirement products is a plus but not required
