Job Description

Duties: The World Class Logistics Specialist at CNH Industrial America LLC in Racine, Wisconsin will lead and facilitate continuous improvement and World Class Logistics initiatives at all levels of the organization. Develop and implement best-in-class and customized inbound and outbound transportation network. Identify and recommend opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Develop optimization models for inbound/outbound transportation network and inventory reduction. Conduct and manage strategic logistics analyses and ensure data accuracy and regression test the models for relevance. Perform Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) for transportation network and develop contingency actions to mitigate risk. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPI’s) and key activity indicators (KAI’s) for the transportation network. Develop reports for budgeted spend and impact on budgets due to product mix, sourcing decisions, inventory optimization and other causals. Develop sustainability reports for the region and report results for company annual reports. Develop tools to measure transit times with statistical analysis and design networks to reduce variability. Coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers. Develop packaging compliance program for suppliers to optimize transportation and distribution costs. Develop simulation models for product flow showing impact of various supply chain conditions for flows to/from/inside the plants. Review freight booking delays at origin locations in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions and escalate issues as required. Establish systematic process to measure accessorial charges for ocean containers and identify opportunities for improvements to reduce accessorial charges. Implement concepts of World Class Logistics and develop relevant training for plant specialists. Improve carrier compliance to contracted service level and pricing.

Minimum Requirements:

 

Requires a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain Management, or a related field plus three years of logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.  Will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain Management, or a related field plus five years of logistics experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

Three years of experience must include three years of experience with each of the following: (1) using prediction modeling and standard modeling to reduce manufacturing inventory; (2) utilizing logistics dashboards to control global logistics operations; (3) translating logistics data into opportunities for improvement; (4) developing cost saving solutions and process improvements for transportation operations; (5) optimizing delivery networks; (6) tracking inventory accuracy; and (7) implementing logistics best practices.
