Responsibilities:
The Financial Services Representative (Pharmacy) will serve as an expert on financial assistance resources available to support patients in need of affordable medication access. Manages resources available to support uninsured and underinsured patients obtain affordable medication access. Engages with local pharmacies to ensure SSCHC patients can obtain their medications. Engages with SSCHC clinical team to identify patients who may need medications changed due to medication access barriers to care. Audit use of SSCHC Sliding Fee program to ensure program is being administered according to provided guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
Proven high level written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate clinical information in Spanish
Self-motivated and independent, able to work without direct supervision
Ability to process large amounts of data
Ability to work well within a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a pharmacy billing specialist or minimum 5 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician
Previous experience working with 340B program
Ability to relate well to people from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds
