RESPONSIBILITIES, FUNCTIONS AND TASKS (What the employee does, why, how, where, results, obligations etc.) |
- Perform painting and final assembly according to work instructions and by following the organization instructions based in lean manufacturing principles. Apply prepared paints to products where high quality is required.
- Mix paint to specified consistency and viscosity for spraying and adjust equipment to obtain the best finish requirements and economy.
- Exercise skill in masking and in distribution and coverage for special finishes.
- Keep equipment in a safe, clean and working order.
- Work assignments are given regular process checks and final inspection.
- Ensure each check point and traceability of the component is collected and tracked properly in the computer system.
- Ensures each job is tracked appropriately using the job costing system so time can be billed correctly.
- Uses basic measuring, hand and power tools as necessary for the assembly of specific parts. May use overhead cranes and forklift.
- Advise the supervisor if the stocks to carry out the process are not sufficient.
- Maintains communications with the quality department to ensure work passes inspection and is ready for shipment timely. Use the non-conformity report to track any issue. Be involved in improvement group if it is request in order to solve an issue.
- Follow the plan and schedule defined by the supervisor and production department.
- Follow instructions to keep and follow 6S methodology
- Cross training in different workstations and different generators models, if required.
- Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards.
- Support general assembly as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (Skills, competences, expertise, etc.) |
- Painting experience required.
- Experience in a mechanical assembly environment required; 2+ years experience preferred.
- Good verbal and written comprehension, the ability to thrive in a team environment, and work with necessary supervision is required.
- General knowledge of mechanical tools and good manual dexterity skills required.
- Troubleshooting skills preferred.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions, blueprints and the ability to interpret measurements.
- Must be able to use measuring devices and overhead cranes.
- The ability to work on different projects as necessary is required.

- The position requires a high school diploma or GED and previous experience in a manufacturing company.
