Software Engineer Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to help our development team design and implement custom web and client-server application software.  This is an exciting opportunity to develop software for deployment on multiple platforms including Windows, web, and mobile devices.  The Software Engineer is a full-time position requiring regular attendance in accordance with Metropolitan Associates’ attendance policy.

Software Engineer Job Responsibilities

• Creating software requirement specifications
• Software and relational database design
• Software development, testing, and implementation
• Ongoing support and maintenance of implemented software
• Assisting in the support and maintenance of our network infrastructure

Software Engineer Job Requirements

• Four-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Relational database design skills
• Object oriented and web programming skills
• Networking and Windows domain management skills a plus
• Familiarity with modern integrated development environments
• Fourth-generation programming language (4GL) skills a must

Software Engineer Technologies Include

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, PHP, XSL, XML, IIS, Adobe Create Suite/Cloud, SEO, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Power BI, IBM i, DB2, Visual LANSA, Visual Studio, 4GL programming languages.
