Job Description

CLIENT ASSOCIATION: American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, AAAAI

REPORTS TO: Director of Practice and Policy

DIRECT REPORTS: None

STATUS: Exempt (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week)
 

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Quality & Registry Program Manager is responsible for daily activities in support of The AAAAI Registry. These activities include working with our technology vendor and physician practices to navigate the process of integrating the registry with patient care and practice management processes, supporting related physician leaders and committees, closely following federal compliance requirements, and designing and supporting member outreach to promote the registry. Technical knowledge regarding quality measures is strongly preferred and prior use of electronic medical records or similar data systems is required. Promotional activities in support of the registry will benefit from marketing and/or public relations experience. Finally, this person will need excellent customer service skills to support registry users and membership constituency groups, including coordinating webinars, conference calls, performing project work, and facilitating data collection and analysis.
 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum 37.5 hours per week):

  • Manage daily operations and activities related to data collection, quality and reporting efforts
  • Participate in the development of promotional materials and assist in marketing and outreach activities designed to encourage membership participation in organizational activities
  • Serve as liaison to various assigned committees within the AAAAI, coordinating and facilitating activities and providing support as needed to achieve objectives.
  • Interface in a professional manner with physicians, vendors, related organizations and others as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to other staff for related committees and other activities as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: Generally 1-2 weeks per year; some weekend and evening work may be required on a monthly basis.
 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Healthcare technology and/or other data management experience is essential. A customer service orientation with excellent communication and writing skills is required. Familiarity with HIPAA preferred and an absolute commitment to maintain and manage confidentiality is a must.
 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
