Acelero Learning has two divisions: Acelero Learning , is a direct provider of Head Start services in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Wisconsin. Shine Early Learning partners with local organizations to support the delivery of high quality services through our Shine Assist and Shine Implement programs.  

We are seeking an inspiring and collaborative leader to join our Acelero Learning team as a Center Director.  You will employ a range of management, monitoring, mentoring and instructional strategies to ensure both compliance and excellence among teaching staff.  

The Center Director will contribute to the Acelero Learning mission through the following activities and responsibilities:

-Act as operational lead of assigned center

-Provide ongoing support and direction to ensure all staff and center functions are fully compliant with policies/procedures, including but not limited to: effective practices in health and safety, compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, local and state licensing regulations and overall center functionality

-Ensure full implementation of all aspects of the Acelero Learning methodology, record keeping, reporting, monitoring and data entry

-Assist in the collaboration and coordination of initiatives within the education team and all cross functional departments

-Engage and inspire parental involvement in all aspects of their child’s participation in the Head Start program

-Maintain and manage staff schedules, ensure child safety is paramount, class ratio is maintained and all safety codes and compliance are followed

-Create a positive and enriching environment for employees, uplift morale, coach, mentor and support staff in their daily responsibilities and ongoing education programs

-Provide classroom coverage as needed for ratio purposes

-Work in collaboration with Early Learning & Inclusion Director on staff management, conducting annual performance reviews and participate in any center related investigations, as required
-Partner with the HR Business Partner to maintain open communication and an environment where staff feel valued and appreciated

 

Qualifications:  

-BA in Early Childhood Education

OR BA in related field with qualifying ECE credits

-Knowledge of health and safety licensing requirements

-Two or more years managerial/supervisory experience in a childcare setting

-Passion for achieving positive child and family outcomes utilizing high quality educational programs

-Proven experience working in a preschool program

-Demonstrated experience listed in the Teacher Success Rubric 
-Strong English speaking and written communication skills, bilingual a plus
-Comfortable working independently and efficiently while managing to organize and communicate effectively with staff, parents and children
-Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite and overall computer proficiency
