Job Description
West Allis Manufacturerer has an immediate first shift opening for a Skilled Lead assembler.
This position will be responsible for the assembly of our Industrial Steam heaters.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for the assembly of our Industrial Steam heaters.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Performing all operations required for the mechanical assembly of our product
- Must be experienced in medium to heavy assembly work with the use of hand held and power tools
- Must be experienced with the safe and proper use of forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Light machining experience with Lathes, Bridgeport mills, and saws required
- Calibration of electrical and digital sensors and operators using electronic and digital (PC based) calibration tools
- Examination of incoming and in-process parts for compliance with quality requirements using precision measuring instruments.
- Deliver and pickup parts to local vendors using company truck
- Must be in regular attendance
Required Skills and experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and 7-10 years demonstrated relevant experience
- Valid driving license
- The ability to lift up to 50lb
- Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated experience with manual lathes, milling machines and cutoff saws
- The ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Able to read and understand operating manuals and instructions
- Organized, with a passion for quality workmanship
