Job description (external)Orano Federal Services is seeking a Contracts & Procurement (C&P) Intern to support the Federal Government, specifically the Department of Energy (DOE) and its contractors work performed as part of Company operations.
To supports C&P the Intern will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:
1. Under close supervision, the intern is responsible for ensuring that assigned materials, equipment and services are obtained at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) consistent with set standards of quality, delivery and service.
2. Ensure project procurement/contract requirements are met.
3. Participate in supplier relationship activities including selection, rationalization, development, performance measurement and recognition.
4. Aid in preparing bid document packages.
5. Aid in preparing procurement and contract documents.
6. Interact with internal and external customers.
7. Develop knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Department of Energy Regulations (DEAR).

Skills/Knowledge Required:
1. Good written and verbal communication skills.
2. Good business and/or technical expertise in a related capacity.
3. Proficient with PC-based applications such as MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Mail, etc), Adobe, etc.
4. Excellent customer services
5. Ability to change priorities quickly, deals with ambiguity, and confronts issues directly.
6. Detailed oriented.
Education/Experience/Knowledge Requirements:
Current University Student (Junior year) pursing a BS in either business, supply chain, or technical discipline with a current cumulative GPA of 3.5%.
Knows and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures in particular field of specialization.
