DescriptionThe Resident Assistant is responsible for assisting
the elderly with their daily living routines which can include dressing; skin,
nail and hair care; oral hygiene; bathing; toileting; simple exercise;
medication monitoring and administration under general supervision of a RN.
Other general duties can include housekeeping duties in resident rooms, common
areas, and restrooms; launder clothing for residents as needed; organize,
coordinate and participate in planned activities including meals; perform
dietary duties including preparation of meals and snacks, dining room set-up
and clean up; document resident activity daily.
QualificationsMinimum high school education or equivalent, required.
Up to 6 months technical or on the job training to
acquire required certification.
CBRF Client Related Certification (advanced age/dementia)
or Current Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant within 6 months of employment.
CBRF Standard Precautions, Fire Safety Training, First
Aid and Choking Certification within 90 days of employment.
CBRF
Medication Administration and Dietary Training Certification within 6 months of
employment.
Experience in
healthcare setting or certified nursing assistant, preferred.
