- Provides technical expertise for gearing, gear manufacturing, related component machining, sub- assemblies and gear case assemblies.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing processes to improve quality, safety, output and consistency of gearing and gear related components.
- Implement LEAN manufacturing concepts and assure understanding of LEAN.
- Assist all functions of the organization with technical support of gearing and manufacturing of gearing processes.
- Manage projects that support new customer products and customer product launches to insure cost effective results.
- Technical liaison between manufacturing and all aspects of the business including customer interface and support.
- Investigates, trouble-shoots and provides solutions to production problems.
- Provides training for production workers on new equipment and technically difficult new processes and components
- Adept at assuring safety is engineered into all shop floor processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
- 10 years (Mfg Eng, Gear Engineering, Power Transmission).
- Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma acquired within 3 years.
- Black Belt in Lean Sigma preferred.
