Position Summary

 

Analyzes and extracts data from client documents pertaining to insurance claims, litigation support and SLM data management. Verifies the authenticity of source documents.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

    Handles accounting projects in conjunction with Adjusters direction. 
  • Participates in accounting for Commercial Insurance Claim resolution.
  • Conducting thorough forensic financial analysis of business and personal records and developing financial profiles of individuals or groups identified as participating in suspicious or illegal activity
  • Investigates inconsistencies, traces assets, and interviews individuals who created, contributed to, or reviewed records under analysis.
  • Reconstructs events and activities involved in financial wrongdoing
  • Develops computerized models/applications to assist in the analysis and presentation of financial evidence
  • Acts as an adviser to audit committees, fraud deterrence engagements, and assisting in investment analyst research.
  • Performs proactive risk reduction by designing and performing extended audit procedures
  • Performs calculations of economic loss.
  • Communicates findings in the form of reports, exhibits and collections of documents
  • May assist in legal proceedings, including testifying in court as an expert witness and preparing visual aids to support trial evidence.
  • Upholds the Crawford Code of Conduct

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/ or Finance.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in Forensic Accounting; CPA or CFE.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Investigation, analysis and interpretation of financial data and/transactions
  • Understanding of economic theories, business information, financial reporting systems
  • Knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and procedures, data management & electronic discovery
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be familiar with legal concepts and procedures
