SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE Assist safety specialist and manger in the field and office operations by developing and carrying out procedures with the site leaders that effectively control accident and health exposures in the company and minimize OSHA citations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Assists in communicating hazard control information and evaluates effectiveness of the control.
Assist site personnel at locations with critical safety and health problems.
Reviews company accident statistics and trends to makes recommendations for correction of problem areas.
Trend incident data to help develop objectives for the safety group and goals for the organization.
Keeps apprised of developments in federal and state safety laws likely to affect the company.
Assist with administrator of the workers' compensation department to manage high-cost or precedent-setting cases.
Help schedules and coordinate safety training throughout all levels of the company.
Track trainings, JHAs, Tool boxes, Procore data for safety key performance indicator measurement data.
Assist with the safety committees.
Assist with safety inspections as needed in conjunction with other safety team members.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of experience in construction is a plus.
