Manufacturing supervisors are responsible for the day-to-day running of assembly/fabrication. They make sure that the production line is running smoothly and that staff are meeting their production targets.
Responsibilities:
Monitoring quality control
Updating paperwork, such as annual leave requests and sick leave
Reporting plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians
Organizing external contracts, like cleaning or supplies
Plans operations, utilization of skills and man-hours, material and work flow to assure timely production and quality standards of assigned products.
Organizes and assigns work and instructs cross-trains and otherwise assists employees in the performance of their work.
Achieve established production goals consistent with standards of quality, safety, cost and housekeeping
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5 years: Experience in a manufacturing environment with emphasis on refrigeration and/or high end consumer products.
Experience with high tonnage hydraulic presses, CNC Punch Presses, and Press Brakes.
Experience with welding and finishing all types of materials.
Strong oral and written communications skills required
Strong initiative and follow through
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
