Job Description
Machinist (manual machining)
Qualifications:
DAY SHIFT working hours: Monday through Friday 8 – 9 hours per day (7am – 3 or 4 pm). Some Saturdays depending on the workload. Overtime is mandatory (service business).
SALARY: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on qualifications to start.
- A prompt and good attendance record is crucial
- Requires a strong mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- Setup and fixture per customers specifications
- Able to operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift
- Must be able to adapt to large 4-axis horizontal machines
- Willing to train if experience is limited
Qualifications:
- One to three years of machining experience (minimum) is preferred.
- Able to read pull tape, micrometer, and convert fractions
- Good Mechanical comprehension, mathematical and blue print reading skills
