Midland Packaging & Display Division is an outstanding manufacturer of corrugated products that range fro brown box to full color POP display and POS merchandising systems.
Under general supervision, develops, implements and maintains environmental and compliance programs policies, procedures, state and federal regulations and standards to ensure the environmental, of employees and visitors.Works in coordination with Process Manager while providing guidance and consultation to personnel regarding environmental issues such as, but not limited to: Environmental, SQF/CBRF, Hazmat and safety.
  • Lead environmental and (SQF/BRC) food safety programs UN/Hazmat, maintain records compliance and demonstration and complete agency reporting.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate Environmental & Food Safety (SQF/BRC) documentation and regulations.
  • Conduct internal and external audits in Food Safety, Vendor certifications, and other audits as required.
  • Lead environmental programs, maintain record compliance demonstration and complete agency reporting
  • Implement environmental management system for compliance programs of air, wastewater, stormwater, waste regulations, facility permits, site plans, standard operation procedures, training, and legal compliance formats.
  • Conduct & develop training materials to comply with OSHA and environmental regulations, state and federal regulatory training compliance requirements.
  • Attend all required training. Including but not limited to: Hazmat training every three years.
  • Train staff as required in UN/Hazmat, SQF/BRC, Safety (OSHA), Environmental as needed
  • Monitor performance of quality management system to ensure effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
  • At least two years of safety & environmental experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Experienced knowledge of SQF/BRC, UN/Hazmat, OSHA
  • Knowledge in the areas of ISO9001, SQF/BRC, 6S, Lean Manufacturing or six sigma
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
