Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
In this job you will test and calibrate various products, both standard and custom, to include printed circuit boards, sub-assemblies, pilot assemblies, final assembly control panels and final system testing. Tasks require a high degree of both mental and visual attention to detail while inspecting, checking, or testing. Troubleshooting skills are essential. Interaction with product engineering will be required to solve more complex issues regarding the quality and performance standards for the finished products.


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
The ability to setup test equipment (including 3 phase utility and load connections) involving power levels of several megawatts. 
Approve, follow and frequently assist in the creation of detailed test procedures. 
Create detailed reports of product testing results. 
The ability to operate intermediate to complex computer based test and monitoring equipment. 
Train other technicians (as required) to complete testing objectives. 
Approve, follow and frequently assist in the creation of detailed safety procedures 
Assist in the resolution of customer questions and testing of returned customer material. 
Perform product quality audits involving strict adherence workmanship standards. 
Approve, recommend or test design changes as required. 
On occasion you may be required to assemble or modify complicated standard & custom products.

Minimum requirements include:
Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent education or experience. 
2 years of experience in inspection/testing field
Able to work from complicated drawings, sketches or schematics and test procedures. 
Knowledge in the use of devices such as oscilloscopes, voltmeters, hipot/resistance meters, and various electronic test equipment. 
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
Relevant Experience Required: 
Three years of experience testing of power delivery systems (AC drives, inverters, UPS’s preferred).
