Job/Internship Description

Responsibilities and Expectations

Our actuarial interns are given exposure to a wide variety of work within the practice, primarily by performing data analysis using Excel, VBA, and SQL to support our various products. Examples of projects include internal and external reporting, client studies to demonstrate the financial value of IntelliScript risk management tools, predictive model building and testing, and more. Interns are also responsible for assisting with research and product development.

Professional Qualifications


Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or another major with quantitative course work
At least one actuarial exam passed
General proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Minimum GPA of 3.2

Preferred (Not Required)


Experience working with data modeling tools such as VBA or R
Prior internship(s) or actuarial-related work experience

Location


This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI. Applicants must be willing to work onsite in the Milliman office.


Applicants currently in F, J, M or other nonimmigrant status who will require immigration-related sponsorship upon the conclusion of their schooling will not be considered for this position.
