Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Interprets engineer drawings to ensure the correct parts are pulled and used
* Performs work to established and generally understood workmanship standards and at acceptable production rates
* Wires, assembles, adjusts to fit and documents the manufacture of custom orders according to engineered to order standards and documentation
* Programs and tests and documents results of finished products
* Entering and cataloging detailed data for systems
* Packs products into wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers using protective padding.
* Participates in cell changeovers from part to part
* Solves routine and complex wiring, communication and systems problems
* Learns Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles and practices them on a daily basis
* Conducts regular 5S audits and quality audits and checks
* Shares and supports ideas for improvement individually or in group meetings
* Participates in group and individual improvement activities with team members, engineering and management
* Helps implement and supports improvement ideas
* Communicates with Cell Team Leader, Planner and Management as required
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
* Electronics - Ohms law, AC/DC, Voltage/Amps, solar controls
* Mechanical ability
* Able to read, and interpret electronic and mechanical work instructions, drawings, and schematics
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
* Communication skills - strong verbal, listening and written
* Able to analyze and solve custom problems with a variety of variables in situations where some or little to no standardization exists
* Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, testing
* Able to learn, and accept feedback
* Able to work cooperatively in a team-based environment
* Detail oriented
* Strong interpersonal skills to work cooperative in team/cell environment
* Dependable
Required Education and Experience
* Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field. Three to five years of proven experience in the electrical/electronic and mechanical fields
* Prior experience working in a team/cell based environment
