Help make Alexa smarter by joining our Knowledge Engineering team in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. We're focused on expanding Alexa's knowledge base, improving her understanding and answering capabilities, and creating delightful voice and multimedia experiences for Alexa customers.

As a member of the Sports Category, you'll be responsible for improving the Alexa Sports experience. That means owning Alexa's coverage of major global sporting events, and handling challenges like deciding how to provide different customers different answers to the same question based on their favorite sports and teams.

In this role, you will:
* Have end-to-end ownership of the Alexa Sports experience
* Source, ingest and structure sports data, developing complex data pipelines and building upon Alexa's sports ontology
* Expand Alexa's ability to understand and answer sports questions for customers worldwide
* Leverage a strong interest in and knowledge of sports to innovate and create experiences that delight customers, from casual fans to diehard fans
* Closely monitor specific KPIs and drive improvements in Alexa's ability to correctly answer sports questions
* Partner with software developers and business leaders to enhance Alexa worldwide

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in related field
* Experience working on simultaneous projects with cross-functional teams
