What you will be doing:

As a Solution Consultant, you will assist sales representatives in identifying a prospects Wide Area Networking (WAN) requirement relative to applications. Translates customer WAN requirements into solutions that maximize benefits for customers, adhere to FIS standards, and generate revenue for FIS.

  • Play an integral role in the sales process utilizing knowledge of WAN products and their capabilities to assist sales executives in addressing client/prospect requirements.
  • Develop appropriate WAN product solutions to meet client/prospect business requirements.
  • Drive WAN solution assurance process on behalf of sales executives to obtain client/prospect requirements, identify and prioritize functionality gaps with sales representatives and clients/prospects, initiate request-source process to obtain estimates to address functionality gaps or define appropriate workarounds and gather all necessary information for internal suppliers to commit to performing the conversion.
  • Drive commitment process on behalf of sales executives to obtain internal commitment to perform work defined in WAN solution assurance documents.
  • Maintain detailed notes in enterprise contact management system to assist in bringing sales opportunities to closure.
  • Provide direction to sales support team for creation and packaging of proposals.
  • Provide input to appropriate sections of requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for information (RFI).
  • Set up and delivers product presentations/demonstrations to clients/prospects either in person or via web-based tools.
  • Create and maintains product presentations.
  • Participate in business requirements review with clients/prospects.
  • Participate in product release process.
  • Provide feedback on client/prospect requirements to FIS product managers on regularly scheduled basis.
  • Interact with vendors and other organizations where appropriate to evaluate third-party vendor opportunities and solutions.
  • Develop and present proposals to Business

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Knowledge of WAN Topologies and relative Cisco hardware
  • Knowledge of FIS applications relevant to the business unit sales support needs
  • Knowledge of industries our applications are typically used in, i.e., banking, utilities, etc. Possesses a good understanding of technologies required to support FIS WAN products
  • Strong working familiarity with FIS and its various business units utilizing knowledge to expedite enhancement estimation activities and functions as client advocate
  • Excellent presentation, writing, organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and provide appropriate communications to senior management

Added bonus if you have:

  • Technical Certifications, i.e. CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, and VOIP experience are a plus
