Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs supervised work in the following areas for a total of 6320 hours or according to specific program guidelines:
Perform milling, drilling, turning and threading on CNC machines
Assist with set ups and gathering of tools, under the direction of experienced machinist
Perform precision measurement and inspections
Demonstrate awareness of all G & M codes or conversational programming
Reads and understands blueprints, drawings, and manuals
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Attend either MATC or WCTC for paid related instruction and satisfactorily complete the courses
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration.
