Teacher Job Description K4-8th Grade
Carter’s Christian Academy (CCA) is a K4-10th grade school, which participates in the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program. Our goal is to provide a quality academic education from a Christian perspective in an environment of academic excellence where students will grow mentally, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually. CCA will maintain small class sizes for the purpose of providing students with more individualized instruction.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Prepares lesson plans which adequately give objectives, methods, procedures and materials used.
Maintain a plan book of daily instruction based on district curriculum guides, and emergency plans in the event of illness and submit a copy of weekly lesson plans one week in advance to Principal.
Presents and instructs lesson plans through adequate teaching methods for student comprehension. Monitors and analyzes outcomes through selected testing methods.
Establishes, maintains and supervises the classroom environment through the use of effective classroom management techniques designed to provide a peaceful and safe learning environment.
Plans and conducts student and parent conferences. Acts as a liaison between school and parents.
Submits requests for supplies, books, and other teaching materials within established time and budget constraints.
Maintains appropriate student and administrative records according to school policy.
Commits to ongoing professional development through workshop attendance, continuing education, etc. Learns new skills.
Collaborates as a team player with teaching colleagues & administrators. Performs various administrative and support duties, such as hall and lunch monitoring or classroom upkeep, upon request.
Attends and prepares for faculty or team meetings, and In-services as required.
Consistently supports and upholds school policies and procedures.
Models self-discipline and ethical behavior. Presents self in a professional manner through appropriate dress, communication techniques, and demeanor.
Perform bus/cafeteria duty as assigned
Arrive to school for morning bus duty and stay late after school
Refrain from discussing CCA’s business and operations with individuals not connected with CCA.
Performs other duties as requested by the Principal or Board Chairperson.
Be present and on time for work everyday.
Supports the school and its leadership.

Maintain the integrity of CCA
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education and State of Wisconsin Teacher Certification.
