Job Description

Overview:

Provide quality trouble shooting skills and perform repairs that keep up with plant ventilation & tempered air systems, coordinate schedule, preventative and emergency maintenance. 

Roof Mechanic Job Duties:

  • Safety - The person must have a good working knowledge of all plant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Must be capable of performing all duties of maintenance with electrical and H.V.A.C. certification and /or valid work history with experience.
  • Perform job in a safe and efficient manner as directed by Supervisor and/or Company Procedures.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Timely and efficient coordination of all procedures related to a shutdown of the facility's H.V.A.C. units, Heating and cooling units, air intakes units.
  • Maintain and Operate the Fayetteville's ventilation & tempered air systems to the highest level of efficiency possible and in a safe manner following all lock out and tag out procedures under Conagra's and Government regulations.
  • Efficiently organize and coordinate work while practicing safe operating procedures and demonstrating efficient control of ventilation & tempered air systems.
  • Timely inspection of changing belts, filters and clean condenser coils as need to minimize expensive repairs to equipment.
  • Maintain current records on the preventative maintenance program for all applicable equipment designated.  Maintain ventilation & tempered air systems in accordance with EPA and OSHA guidelines. (Company will provide roof person with information pertaining to job.)
  • Efficient coordination of roof maintenance activities in conjunction within the needs of the plant's production requirements.
  • Familiarize anyone assigned to assist with roof ventilation and tempered air systems with repairs and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate shift activities with the Utility Manager to maintain a safe, reliable, ventilation & tempered air systems maintenance system that is responsive to plant needs.
  • Report any abnormal conditions or repairs needed on roof ventilation and tempered air systems to Facilities Supervisor of his designated replacement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Ammonia & Refrigeration Technicians (Powerhouse Technicians) Job Duties:

  • Previous valid work history with experience, certifications on NH3 operations,  upkeep an repairs, PSM, Boiler operations and maintenance.
  • Posses a State of Arkansas Boiler License.
  • Safety - The person must have a good working knowledge of all plant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Keep work area clean and orderly.
  • Coordinate all procedures related to a  shutdown of the facility's ammonia, boiler, hi-pressure, air and glycol systems for extended periods.
  • Operate the Fayetteville's powerhouse systems in a safe manner under Conagra's and Government regulations.
  • Organize and coordinate the training of powerhouse personnel in a work group structure that practices safe operating procedures and demonstrates control of powerhouse systems.
  • Prepare and organize the ammonia system for repairs to its pumps, receivers, piping, freezers, coolers, glycol and safety systems.
  • Prepare and organize the boiler systems for repairs and inspections.
  • Maintain records on the preventative maintenance program for all systems delegated to the Fayetteville Powerhouse.
  • Organize Emergency Response efforts to Hazardous Material releases and to coordinate  activities with local Fire Department and Haz-Mat groups in the absence of the on-site incident commander.
  • Maintain ammonia systems in accordance with Process Safety Management guidelines.
  • Coordinate powerhouse systems in conjunction within the needs of the plant's production requirements.
  • Coordinate shift activities with the Utility Manager to maintain a safe,  reliable, Powerhouse system that is responsive to plant needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
