Job Description

Generac is a Wisconsin based $1.8 billion market-leading manufacturing company that builds quality power products that positively impacts the lives of our customers.  We have a new opportunity in our Waukesha facility for a motivated detail orientated Marketing Communications Coordinator that would like to be a part of a solid local company that offers career growth and development.  Our Marketing Communications Coordinator will engage with customers, prospects and stakeholders through social media communications.  This person will lead and monitor consumer reviews, analyze and share metrics internally to seek ways to improve product and marketing approaches.  This Coordinator will also lead search engine optimization efforts.    

Primary Responsibilities follow:
  • Develop and implement a consumer review strategy that supports and encourages peer reviews as one essential component of the customer experience.
  • Coordinate the response to all inquiries for Generac and its brands on consumer review platforms.
  • Find new ways to leverage peer reviews relevant to Generac’s products and services on other social media sites and blogs as well as other marketing and public relations initiatives.
  • Coordinate an annual content calendar for search optimization content.
  • Build up team capabilities in SEO best practices.
  • Work with the marketing team to provide copy-writing support as necessary.
  • Work with subject matter experts within Generac for input as necessary and become a technical product resource to enhance copy-writing support.
  • Seek out and gain expertise of new and emerging customer-facing communication tools.
  • Develop, write and project manage customer-facing communication tools
  • Using appropriate listening tools and technology, monitor trends in the markets we serve and appropriately apply that knowledge to our social media tactics.
  • Measure and report on key social media and SEO performance indicators.
  • Propose new and alternative ways to leverage social media.
  • Educate others across the company regarding social media strategies and tactics.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, New Media, or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 2 years professional experience in a corporate marketing or agency environment, which includes developing and executing social media and SEO programs.
