Sales and Marketing Manager - Essential Elements Music Class
Hal Leonard, the global leader for music instruction and repertoire, is seeking a talented, experienced and motivated sales and marketing leader to launch and grow a new powerful cloud-based teaching tool, Essential Elements Music Class. This new program provides music teachers with everything they need to teach K-5 music programs, including interactive features for students, resources to help teachers work with parents and administrators, customizable options for teachers to use their own content, music to use for concerts and classroom and much more.

This is great opportunity for a passionate and driven individual with the right qualifications to get in on the ground level in developing a marketing and sales plan and helping to build a team to present EEMC to elementary music teachers, administrators and school district music supervisors across the country.


Qualifications - Education and Experience:


  • Strong sales and marketing background in providing programs and services to educational markets. A focus on primary and classroom music education sales a plus.
  • Track record of superior sales performance metrics
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.

Required Skills:

  • Leadership, communication, time management, organizational skills.
  • Professional writing and verbal skills.
  • Very strong presentation and oral skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, goal-orientated, creative and results-driven.
  • Superior computer skills, good knowledge of email, social media and marketing and various online platforms.
  • Flexibility for traveling, especially during prominent educational marketing seasons.

Duties will include:


  • Manage advertising campaigns targeting educators and other academic decision-makers via online and traditional means.
  • Schedule and host webinars as needed with EEMC curriculum team member(s).
  • Build presenter team for state/regional /national music educational conferences and coordinate presentations.
  • Train and manage specialized (EEMC) customer service
  • Work with HL management to create/refine in-app purchases, and pricing.
