Job Description
Since 1894, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has focused on providing the very best care for the kids in our community.  Join our Strategy and Governance team to support meaningful, innovative work. As an executive assistant for this welcoming team, you will provide executive administrative support to the Vice President, Strategy & Governance.  You will coordinate and provide logistical assistance for a variety of interesting projects and meetings in support of Children's Boards and related committees. The ideal candidate has a positive outlook, is a strong communicator, and is great with follow through. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with Executive, Administrative, and Legal teams to support governance activities. 
  • High School education or equivalent plus some business or secretarial school.  Associate degree or Bachelor degree in related field preferred. 
  • Three years of related work experience and experience working with senior leaders and executives.  Knowledge of hospital organization and administration preferred.
  • Good judgment and organizational ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet daily demands, as well as respond to urgent situations.
  • Experience with complex scheduling using Outlook.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • The ability to analyze documents for accuracy.
  • Competence in use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) required.
  • Competence in web-based technology and applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and system including managing both electronic and paper files and records.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality when reading, typing or hearing matters pertaining to strategic plans, as well as, operational changes and legal matters within the organization.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner in all communications with Board members and their staff.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Maintains effective communications and positive working relationships with organization staff at all levels.
  • Maintains confidential information on the highest level and communicates (orally and in writing) with the Boards and leadership.
