The Leidos Health group is seeking the best and brightest minds, with a passion for technology, to join our Intern Program. As a technology intern at Leidos, you will be immersed in a rich technical experience where you will work side-by-side with senior leaders, architects, developers, fellow interns, and others. In addition to hands-on experience, the program will also provide career development opportunities that include a summer series of events and various networking engagements across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities
As a software engineer intern you will work on developing/testing software for our federal health clients. This work will include supporting various types of development testing such as GUI, Data/ETL, workflows, accessibility, as well as test automation. The project will require learning and using skills in JAVA, Selenium, SQL, Oracle and/or related technologies, as well as learning about the internal software life cycle processes and tools used in the program. The Systems for Inspections, Recalls, Compliance Enforcement (SIRCE) and Imports program supports the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Regulatory Affairs' (ORA) critical work to safeguard the foods, drugs, devices, biologics, and veterinary products that the Agency regulates. These systems continue to evolve to meet emerging business needs and to support new mandates and initiatives. It is important to analyze and implement advances in technologies that will improve efficiency and performance leading to greater user satisfaction and reducing the cost of operations and maintenance (O&M). Effort is underway to develop state of the art applications that can be used on various platforms and to retire some of the legacy systems with modern and efficient applications.
