QA Co-op Job Description

The Platform Development group is looking for a talented, energetic, hardworking, inquisitive student with a keen interest in discovering how things work or at the very least breaking them. Co-op engineers will develop and execute tests for test ftServer, everRun Enterprise and ztC systems using Stratus value-add software, Windows, VMWare ESX, and Linux. They will be exposed to latest cutting edge fault tolerant and highly available software and hardware.

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate will be in pursuit of a BSCS or EE degree, have experience working with ESX, Linux and/or Windows and a strong desire to learn. Familiarity with Perl, C/C++/C# or Java is strongly desired. The successful candidate must have good structured programming skills and be able to read and digest other people's code. Must also work well in a team, have above average verbal and written communications skills, and must be a self-starter.

This isn't your same old tired co-op position. You will be integrated into a highly focused, very experienced test organization and be expected to pull your own weight. You will learn more than you thought possible as a co-op.

Educational Background Required:

Junior, Senior or Masters candidate majoring in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
