Wisconsin Early Autism Project is a statewide organization that provides early, intensive behavioral intervention to children with autism. As a Behavioral Treatment Technician, you’d work one-on-one with children (18 months to school age), helping them learn to communicate, play with others, and live more independent lives.

Choose whether you want to work at our treatment center in Brookfield, in clients’ homes, or a combination of both. Since we have clients all over the state, that means you have the opportunity to work in your own community!

PAID TRAINING
This entry-level position is a great way to gain experience for anyone interested in a career in social services. You’ll receive 40 hours of hands-on training with the most experienced behavioral treatment specialists in the state of Wisconsin. 

FLEXIBLE HOURS
Working on a degree? Have kids of your own? WEAP offers flexible part-time hours that fit around school, extracurricular activities, and any other weekly commitments. Shifts range from two to six hours, and generally fall between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm. Work anywhere from 8-40 hours per week, depending on your schedule and client availability. 

BENEFITS
Besides the obvious benefit of doing something you love, you are provided with paid training plus travel reimbursement, with the opportunity for annual increases based on total hours worked. Part-time work can lead quickly to full-time work which is rewarded with a higher travel reimbursement, dental and medical benefits, paid time off, and 401K eligibility.

REQUIREMENTS
-Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
-Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to child, family, and staff
-Ability to lift a child up to 40 pounds

QUALIFICATIONS
-High school diploma or equivalent
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Must have reliable transportation
-Previous employment or volunteer experience with preschool children, individuals with disabilities, or similar is helpful, but not required.
