Summary: Responsible for the safe and timely transport of center children as assigned by performing the following duties.

Summary: Responsible for the safe and timely transport of center children as assigned by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drives bus between locations to safely transport children in a timely manner
- Maintains transportation logs for all daily transports and field trips
- Maintains health and safety records of each child
- Keeps accurate attendance records for each trip
- Maintains the cleanliness of the bus on a daily basis
- Operates bus in a safe and courteous manner
- Reports any maintenance issues of the bus
- Check the conditions of vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.
- Performs any other job duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have CDL w/ PS Endorsement License
- Must be dependable
- Excellent driving record
- Prior to employment a state background check is required and FBI Fingerprint is required
- Must be 21 years of age
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Must be flexible in hours; this position is year round.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Must posses a genuine liking and warmth for young children. Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of young children as well as the ability to relate to them.
- Possess a quality of patience and tolerance and is able to maintain an even balance through noise and distractions.
- Presents a positive self image and attitude which is likely to create the same in young children
