ATTIC Correctional Services is recruiting part-time Supported Living Specialists in our Manitowoc, Calumet & Sheboygan County coverage area. The Supported Living Specialist is responsible for providing assistance of daily living skills to persons with a history of sexual violence following their release and transition back to their home community. Hours for these positions are typically 8:00 am to 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

**This position is eligible for $500 bonus after six months of service (must work a minimum of 190 hours during this time frame).**

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Evaluating clients using evidence-based tools to determine needs; uses results to develop responsive strategies to enhance client stability and success in the community.
• Providing in-home services such as medication administration, activities of daily living skill building, and money management based on evidence-based approaches and tools, including motivational enhancement techniques and cognitive-behavioral models.
• Providing nutritional guidance that incorporates both educational (what to eat and why, based on individual needs) and practical (tactics and techniques for cost-effective, healthy shopping, food preparation, and eating) information.
• Assisting with building a program-wide culture of awareness and appropriate role-modeling of both "soft" (interpersonal) and "hard" (practical) daily living skills for all clients, with a special emphasis on clients assessed as needing specific Supported Living interventions.
• Training Community Care Technician staff in effective role-modeling of behaviors and assisting clients with skills related to Supportive Living Services.

Education & Work Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience providing services to:
  • Individuals with serious and persistent mental illness; OR
  • Individuals who have a developmental disability

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Valid driver's license, good driving record and proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel frequently.
• Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to interactions with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interact with staff, clients, and other parties in an effective manner while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong decision making abilities and self-motivated.

• Experience enforcing rules, policies and procedures.
