Milwaukee Health Services, Inc. (MHSI) is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) that operates from two (2) sites: The Isaac Coggs Heritage Health Connection at 8200 W. Silver Spring Drive and the MLK Heritage Health Center at 2555 N. Martin Luther King Drive.MHSI offers a range of primary health care services including Medical, Dental, Behavioral, Women’s Health, Benefit Determination, and Pharmacy. FQHC’s service everyone regardless of income, or third party coverage, and seek to provide high quality care in accessible locations and at convenient times. Our particular sites primarily target the residents of Milwaukee’s north side, but service patients countywide.FQHC’s are unique in their delivery of care, patient population and provision of services. MHSI has an immediate need for HR Generalist II with an emphasis in full cycle healthcare recruiting. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for directly supporting the Director of HR in employee relations, employment law and HR policy compliance, recruiting and selection, performance management, job evaluation, salary benchmarking, benefits administration, status and pay transaction review, HRIS administration and reporting and employee recognition programs.
Assist in conducting initial phone screenings and interviews for non exempt applicants
Ensure complete processing of performance reviews including timely performance reviews and pay increases according to the Performance Management Process Policy
Full administrator of Orbit/Payroll Data HRIS administration
Assist in maintaining the HR Budget, monitoring HR non-exempt overtime
In consultation with HR Director, provide guidance and support to employees and managers in employee relations, performance management, employment law and HR policy compliance matters.
FMLA administration including benefits collections, continued communication with employee and performance adjustments
Full cycle recruiting of health care staff in compliance with Affirmative Action and EEOC (Applicant Flow log, internal/external job postings, promotions/demotions, terminations and exit interviews
Conduct new hire orientation and health care benefits presentations
Supervise administration of health benefits plans, including leaves of absence and worker’s compensation procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist in maintaining and updating job descriptions
Assist in preparing HR reports, ad hoc and scheduled reporting. Prepare data and trend analysis as required, including submission of EEO-1 reporting.
Assist in performing employee investigations including corrective actions and terminations are complete within 24-48 hours
Maintain talent acquisition by analyzing internal skill base inventory, developing and updating job descriptions with measurable, specific competencies
Assist in conducting annual wage surveys to maintain competitive pay structures
Other projects and duties as assigned
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience in healthcare recruitment and ADP Administation is a plus.
