This is a 1st shift 1.0 FTE direct hire role with the premier Medical provider in Wisconsin.
The role of Cath Lab Tech is at this organization is unique. The Cath Lab Tech role is a blended department of Radiology and Cath. The ideal candidate will have experience with both areas. The Cath & Radiology team consists of four experienced Techs and an RN, of which two are in scrubs on a given shift.
Administratively reporting to the Cardiology Manager, and under the medical direction of the cardiologist and established procedures. Assisting the cardiologist performs invasive cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology studies using ionizing radiation. Maintains knowledge of current trends and techniques in cardiology through appropriate technical journals or in-service and educational programs in order to enhance expertise.
Work requires extensive technical training; normally acquired through completion of an AMA approved two year program in Radiologic Technology, and six months related training in special procedures. Between six months to a year of on-the-job training experience is necessary in order to understand and function in the technical aspects of all pediatric angiography procedures and cardiac diagnostic studies.
