Job Description
Job Purpose:
The part-time Office Assistant will provide customer service and clerical support for the Capitol West Academy School.  This position reports to the Administrative Support specialist.
 
Duties:
 
  • Represent Capitol West Academy in a positive manner
  • Greet and assist children and parents
  • Ensure visitor policy is followed
  • Provide positive support and communication to families, visitors and staff
  • Support the Administrators in the administration of the school office
    • Ensure maintenance of office equipment
    • Specialized record keeping and reporting as needed
    • Attend to sick children
  • Support the enrollment process
    • Set tour appointments and answer enrollment questions
    • Update inquiry log daily and promptly respond to parents
    • Process Student Application
    • Create enrollment packets
    • Ensure all appropriate and necessary paperwork is completed prior to enrollment
  • Clerical assignments
    • Special projects
    • Data entry
    • Coordination of mailings, labeling and stuffing envelopes
    • Creating interview packets, copying and scanning, and preparing materials for meetings
                                
Qualifications:
 
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Power school experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills; Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Proven ability to work independently and multi-task
  • Strong customer service skills in-person and over the phone
  • Must possess personality to work in an environment with many different staff, parents, children and other schools
 
Position Details:
 
  • Part-time hours
  • Occasionally fast paced setting with many interruptions and short deadlines
  • Reports directly to the CWA Administrative Support Specialist
