Part-time Hardware Store Help Needed

Job Description
Bliffert Lumber is looking for a part-time sales associate for our Chambers St. location in Milwaukee, WI. Bliffert Lumber is a family owned and operated company serving Wisconsin for over 100 years. We offer competitive wages and benefits.
This position is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic and enjoys helping customers find products that fit their needs.
Experience with and knowledge of hardware is desired to give customers good advice for whatever project they're working on.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist customers in finding products
Give customers advice and ideas for their projects
Suggest tie-in products that fit customers' needs
Perform services for customers
Stock shelves and keep store clean and orderly
Handle Cash
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
Ability to be on feet entire day
Repeated use of ladder
Knowledge of Windows based software
An eagerness to learn about hardware products and share knowledge with others
Friendly, helpful, customer-oriented personality
Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
Prefer experience in retail with an understanding of home improvement, tools, painting, plumbing, electrical, auto, etc. but willing to train
Must be available for flexible scheduling including weekends and evenings.
