Position Description:
The Sr. IT Analyst's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the global desktop and laptop fleet that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all packaged software and associated operating systems. The SCCM/Desktop Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. They are responsible for developing, building, and supporting software application packaging for a Microsoft SCCM deployment[s]. Responsible for packaging [commercial off-the-shelf / custom-developed / other] applications using Microsoft SCCM to global laptop and desktop fleet.
Position Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day administration of Microsoft SCCM 2012 environment, including creating or editing security groups, application deployments (collections, packages, task sequences, and PowerShell scripts), patch management, general troubleshooting, log analysis, upgrading, and recommending improvements within the existing infrastructure.
Creating/managing/updating Operating System images (Windows 7 and Windows 10) for different PC hardware models supported in the Enterprise - including the creation of task sequences, injecting drivers into PXE images, and/or creating driver packages.
Ensures patching of all desktop computers with Microsoft Software Security updates and, when needed, other third-party application updates.
Creating and deploying custom scripts to be used for upgrades, desktop modifications, and deployments of software through SCCM.
Responsible for refining and enforcing global desktop environment standards.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Minimum of five years of related IT experience Strong experience with small to medium-scale project and program management Experience determining and delivering against business requirements
Broad understanding of an array of technologies and their use, such as: Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM, and Office 365.
Expertise using and supporting SCCM for distribution, task sequencing, and reporting
5+ years of experience with desktop environments
Experience w/ Windows 10, Windows 7
Solid background in SCCM 2012
Knowledge of Microsoft and other software licensing programs
Windows 7 and Win 10 migration experience are a major plus
Apple Mac experience beneficial
Knowledge of how to use PowerShell and other Scripting Languages
Certifications Desired:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Relevant Microsoft Certifications
