Overview: As a part of the senior leadership team, the Vice President - Manager of Human Resources oversees and facilitates the management of the bank’s human resources for the purpose of helping the bank achieve its objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
The Vice President & Manager of Human Resources is responsible for high level, strategic planning and oversight in the areas of recruitment, development, employee relations and employee benefits including:
Talent Acquisition, Onboarding and Termination
Succession Planning
Retention
Leadership and Employee Training and Development
Employee Policy Development and Administration
HR and Training Staff Management
Performance Management and Evaluation Systems
Facilitate Staffing Level Analysis
Employment Law Compliance
Employee Relations and Internal Communications
Employee Safety and Workers Compensation Administration
Oversee Employment Litigation
Facilitate a positive and rewarding work environment and culture
Oversee Payroll Administration
Compensation and Benefits Analysis and Management
Compensation and Benefits Administration and Compliance
Job Qualifications:
A minimum of five years of Human Resources experience within a mid-size organization.
Bachelor's degree
Generalist background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development
Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal laws required
High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
Professional, well-developed communication skills necessary for projecting a positive image to internal and external applicants, members, management staff, human resource staff and bank employees
Results oriented with sound business judgment
Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience
Ability to effectively present proposals to implement new and modified HR programs, policies and procedures
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work
Assign and supervise the work of others
Excellent problem-prevention and problem-solving skills
Work effectively, tactfully and professionally with a diverse workforce team
Ability to make difficult decisions affecting employees, managers and functions within the company
Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction within the workforce
Desire to work in a community bank and represent WSB in a professional and ethical manner at all times
