The Role

Penrod, located in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, is seeking a Summer 2018 Data Specialist Intern to join our growing team. Our Data Specialist Intern will develop and execute complex data migrations and integrations for client applications on the Salesforce platform.

At Penrod, we use our world-class programming skills to innovate in Salesforce.com solutions. Our projects include working with advanced business process and business intelligence systems, providing solutions to ensure user adoption, and development of custom applications that enrich the user experience.

Requirements

What You Must Do To Be Successful In This Position:

• Use tools like SSIS, Scribe, Informatica, Jitterbit, and Boomi to migrate data and move data between systems
• Manually import client data files into the database
• Write logical expressions to pull data from files as necessary

What Skills & Experience We’d Like You To Have:

• Pursuing degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent, 0-3 years of experience
• Familiarity with standard file formats, standard FTP transmission protocols and off the shelf communication packages
• Very good understanding of relational databases and ability to run queries
• Some experience with data analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills
• Ability to consistently complete tasks and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and an upbeat, helpful attitude
