Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager, Data Analytics in the Industrials Americas Group.   This position will be located in Quincy, IL.  This positions will have responsibility and oversight for the development and implementation of product strategies, programs, and value proposition for compressed air systems that utilize advanced data analytics to maximize aftermarket revenue, uptime performance, and efficient operation - driving incremental aftermarket growth and achieving profit objectives. The Product Manager, Data Analytics will continually develop knowledge on current products, competitive products, and markets trends and work closely with all areas of the business including customers, distribution, outside sales, operations, and engineering in the specification, development, and commercialization of the product line.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develops, recommends and implements action plans for growth and profitability of aftermarket through the use of remote data analytics that will drive change in behavior at the distributor and customer level. 
  • Creates long and short range strategic product and marketing plans that identifies new growth opportunities, and creates product development business plans that support overall strategic goals.
  • Maintains continuous surveillance, evaluation and files of competitive products including function, performance, pricing, and marketing techniques through interaction with sales, end users, and other sources.
  • Works within a cross functional team in the specification, development, and commercialization of new products.
  • Ensures products are launched to the market and operational plan supports expected sales volume. 
  • Provides input on forecast and plans on a monthly basis.
  • Recommends the development of promotional programs, literature, sales aids, sales training programs and advertising requirements for specific product lines.
  • Develops value proposition for product line and creates and maintains training programs for customers and distribution partners. 
  • Develops reports and metrics that measure overall performance and profitability of product line and effectively presents and communicates this information to management.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3 to 7 years of Product Management, Engineering Project Management, Marketing, or Program Management experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering (or international equivalent); MBA preferred. 
  • Strong technical background in data analytics and electronics with knowledge and understanding of how data can be used to drive increased aftermarket revenue. 
  • Understanding of key advantages of products and how these benefit the customer.
  • Understanding of commercial aspect of interfacing with customers to deliver a solution to meet their needs.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills needed. 
  • The ability to develop strong working relationships with all levels of the organization as well as distributors and customers is critical to success in this position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Office with strong analytical skills
