Job Description
Network Manager
The Oconomowoc Area School District is seeking candidates to manage the District’s information and technology network. The successful candidate will collaborate with instructional and operational personnel to assure future ready network resources are readily available for students and staff members. The Network Manager will develop the Department budget and manage a team of IT staff members responsible for a variety of network services including the fiber-optic Wide Area Network, Servers, Switches, Wireless Networks, Internet, information and learning systems, email, phones, computers, mobile devices, software applications, and classroom A/V technology.
Network Resources:
8 – Buildings 12-mile private fiber-optic network (WAN) 35 – technology closets 600+ - Wireless Access Points (Hallways & Classrooms) 40 – Virtual Servers 15 – Physical Servers 150 – network stacked switches 2,000 – Microsoft Computers 4,500 – Student Mobile Devices (Chromebooks, iPads,) 1,200 – Apple iPads 3,500 – Google Chromebooks 300 – Classrooms with Audio/Visual Technology 300 – Video Displays (projectors, televisions, SMARTboards, screens, etc.) 300 – Audio Sounds Systems ( 200+ - Document Cameras 200 – Software Applications 500+ - Apple iPad APPs 200+ - Google Chromebooks APPs & Extensions Cisco Phone System Internet Services Leased WAN Service (Ixonia)
