General Description:
* Machining parts to print specification while maintaining necessary dimensions and using all
necessary machining equipment.
* It is the duty of each employee at Superior Machining to know the safety rules and conduct
his/her work in compliance with these rules.
Requirements/Experience of Machinist:
* 3-5 years of machine shop experience preferred.
* Operational knowledge of CNC machines preferred.
* Mechanical aptitude and good blueprint reading skills.
* Operational knowledge of manual machines including Turning/Milling/Grinding/Gear Cutters.
* Understanding of G code preferred.
* Ability to problem solve.
* Common Sense
* Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
* Valid driver’s license required.
* Able to stand for long periods at a time.
* Able to safely lift 50lbs.
* Good manual dexterity.
* Able to work with arms overhead.
Equipment Knowledge:
* Fork truck certified preferred.
* Machinist tools.
* Overhead crane operation.
* CNC machines
* Manual machines
* Programming software preferred
