As a key member of Modine’s global leadership team, the VP of Information Technology will oversee all aspects of Modine’s global information technology and systems. The select individual will be responsible for the development, configuration, and support of all business systems at Modine. This role will contribute to the development and achievement of the organization’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the company’s IT strategy, working closely with business partners, with a focus on driving innovation and achieving business objectives.
Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization/globe to ensure flexible, effective systems able to adjust to reasonable future demands consistent with the business plans.
Lead the specification of the desired IT application structure, effectively maintain and support the stability of the current IT infrastructure while identifying technology gaps and implementing new technologies to resolve those gaps.
Lead and assume global executive responsibility for the continued deployment, expansion and oversight of the Modine Business Process framework.
Establish IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures; directs continuous improvement of the information systems staff, equipment, and procedures to maintain pace with technological progress, economic change, and business needs.
Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development.
Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets.
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives; reviews formulation of project definitions showing project objectives, information system requirements, and analytical and programming personnel requirements of proposed systems.
Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current and evolving technologies and prices. Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
Ensure IT system operation adheres to applicable laws and regulations, contractual obligations, and established security protocols. Monitors the security of data processed to ensure the integrity and reliability of computerized information systems, communications systems, and office systems.
Define and communicate IT plans, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.
Direct continued implementation and further development and execution of an enterprise-wide IT disaster recovery and continuity plan.
Supervise recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
Position Requirements:
10+ years of experience managing and/or directing a global IT function including experience in strategic planning and execution.
Experience in developing multi-million dollar department/organization budgets and effectively planning and managing activities within the established constraints of such approved budgets.
Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management including excellent understanding of project management.
Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and security protocols as they relate to IT.
Demonstrated leadership skills aligning with the Modine Leadership Behavior model.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Business Administration or related majors. Master’s degree in one of these fields preferred.
Travel:
Up to 25% Travel (including global travel) required
