Responsibilities include: Work in close collaboration and consultation with psychiatrist on staff as a nurse prescriber, obtain health histories and perform basic neurological physical exam if necessary, diagnose and in partnership with the patient, manage acute and chronic mental health conditions, provide comprehensive primary mental health care including the prescribing of psychoactive medications used to treat mental illness and emotional disorders as well as mental health therapy through evidence-based best practice modalities, teach health promotion, wellness, and disease prevention, prepare and maintain behavioral health patient reports and records and is part of a team of 20 bilingual BH providers integrated into a primary care setting.
