OCCUPANCY SPECIALIST

Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Occupancy Specialist (COS, Section 8, Affordable Housing, HUD). The ideal candidate will have experience in subsidized housing. If you are looking for an opportunity with a growing organization, please keep reading!
Job requirements includes:
• Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) designation preferred
• Ability to address the concerns of current and future residents in a friendly and professional manner
• Strong organizational skills and an attention to detail
• Strong office skills
• High level of computer skills are needed
• Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls from current and prospective residents
• Bilingual language capability in English/Spanish is a plus
Job responsibilities includes:
• Schedule applicant appointments, prepare lease paperwork, and oversees completion of lease signings
• Complete third party verifications (i.e. income, assets, expenses)
• Maintain and control confidential files and records
• Participation in weekly occupancy meetings
• Uphold all Fair Housing principles
